Dr. Mildred McClain, known as Mama Bahati, is a Movement Elders Distinguished Fellow at Groundswell and the founder of Harambee House. With over 50 years in education, public health, and environmental justice, she has championed youth leadership and collaborated with key agencies to advocate for marginalized communities. She holds degrees from Harvard and the University of Massachusetts and has received prestigious awards for her environmental justice work. A devout Pan-Africanist, Mama Bahati is also dedicated to spiritual practices and community well-being.

Angela Green has over 10 years of experience in community engagement and development. She coordinates outreach programs, connects with local organizations, and fosters partnerships to promote environmental justice and community well-being.

Marcus Thompson leads our youth initiatives, focusing on leadership development and environmental education. With a background in education and mentoring, he empowers young people to become community change agents.
